This morning was rough. I woke and discovered there was no more coffee left. I made tea instead and it’s just not the same thing.
By the time I got to work I was still sleepy and this carried on for hours. My body needs more caffeine than tea has to offer apparently.
But I live to tell the tale of a coffee-free day.
For iftar, we had soup and a savoury I concocted when I got home. The 2-ingredient dough is proving to be ever so versatile. It was really just born out of leftovers. I’ll share how I made it in another post. The dough was filled with chicken, spinach and gouda; then they were dipped in egg and southern fried coating and fried for a few minutes until golden. Yes, not the healthiest thing, but sometimes we like a little fried carbs. Everything in moderation.
Since we could hardly eat much of the chicken from yesterday, we had the leftovers and it was even better tonight. I made another salad to go with it.
What was on your table?
i love how you never left the leftovers go to waste 🙂
I love reinventing leftovers. 🙂
