This will be a short post because this recipe is really simple and I’ve shared it with you before, though you may not realise it.
Last night I had leftover butter chicken and a bit of rice. But I was not in the mood for rice. I wanted a roti or a naan bread. I also didn’t want something that took forever and a day to make only to be gobbled up in a matter of minutes.
I then remembered that a while ago, I had some dough leftover from the 2-ingredient pizza base (see I told you it’s easy) that I added salt and chopped chilli to the and then brushed with olive oil and cooked in a frying pan. It was a hit then and why would you not remake a hit, right?
This time I didn’t add chilli because the butter chicken was spicy enough on its own. Instead I added chopped coriander it and brushed it with garlic butter before frying in a pan.
This dough is super versatile. Anything can be added to it to make a flavoured flat bread. It looks almost like naan but the texture is a bit softer. Frying it in garlic butter adds a delightfully sinful element too. Go on. You know you want to.
Serve it as an accompaniment to curries or on their own.
Sounds divine, I want to try it!!!
You should Zulpha. It’s so quick and easy.
