When I saw number 12 on Thirty Things, I cringed a little. It asks you to “Describe a typical day in your current life.”
Why did I cringe? Because thinking about the answer made me realise that my weekdays seem/feel mundane and routine. Now there is nothing wrong with routine, but at the moment I’d like a few new challenges (in my career to be specific) before I keel over because of overexposure to being on autopilot.
So what does a typical (weekday/ work day) day look like for me?
I wake up.
I get ready for work.

I’m not like this. I like being punctual. But I appreciate the humour in this.
I go to work. Where I do my job.
I go to gym (at least I try to get there 3 times a week).
I go home and cook dinner (most evenings – and this I enjoy because the kitchen and creating dishes are my happy places)
I shower.
I read and/or watch television.
I sleep.

Nothing like recharging.

This is not true. I’m a terrible sleeper most of the time. There are times I wish I could sleep for days though. But how tedious would that become?
Mondays – Fridays. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Maybe someday, something exciting will come along. (But be careful what you wish for, I’ve been warned)
Weekends I try to be more spontaneous and go where the wind takes me or attend whatever event I’ve been invited to. I also clean house. Sometimes, I have people over to feed them and enjoy their company. Sometimes I do nothing. Whatever really.
In the meantime, I’ll keep this in mind:
